Wahoo! I can't believe I got photos to post. Maybe my luck is starting to turn with Blogger and the MOPS blog. Anyway...........I actually did a new fall craft project this weekend with my boys. I had not done anything like this with them for so long and these turned out SO cute! The idea came from Valerie at Frugal Family Fun. I know Amber mentioned this blog last week. So many great ideas.........and they really are frugal!
To do this you just need clear contact paper, construction paper, and various colors of tissue paper. Cut a piece of contact paper your desired size. Ours were about the size of a sheet of paper. Peel off the backing and place it sticky side up on your table. Tape the corners down to the table while your child works. Cut out a tree trunk from the brown construction paper (or have your child do it if they can) and place it on the contact paper. Cut a bunch of leaves from the tissue paper (fold it over several times and it will go quickly) and have your little one place the leaves on the sticky contact paper. This is a great activity for refining those little finger muscles. Once they are done, place another sheet of clear contact paper over the top, making a "sandwich" to seal everything inside. Trim the edges and tape it on a window. They are so pretty!
(Note: We also added a piece of green tissue paper for grass across the bottom.)
